Late 1930 Vintage Antique Mexican Satillo Serape 91”x38” Wool Weaving Blanket!!

In the late 1930’s my mother acquired this beautiful Mexican rug from her aunt. We do not know how long she owned it, but I acquired it at my mother’s death. I can account for 91 years of its history.
It has been stored for lo these many years and now I’m ready to share this piece with a new owner.
It comes from a pet free and smoke free home.
My understanding is it is silk and wool- as noted in center designs beauty. You will notice there is absolutely no fading, there are no stains or soiled areas. Both sides are perfectly immaculate.
After speaking with others, I feel like I am starting this bid low....we shall see. My heart tells me to share with a museum/display, I’ll continue to think that through. Please note that the measurements are from tip of fringe to tip of other braided fringe. The fringe on each end measures 5”. Thank you again for looking and enjoying this work of art with me.
